Many sources inspire Theo's work - ancient mosaics of Greece, the decorative tile of Turkey, and the brilliant colors of Latin America. Her career as an artist is punctuated with frequent travels abroad which nurture and inspire her work.

Presently she resides in Edmonton, Alberta where she works as an artist and art educator. Theo received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Alberta in 1996. As an Artist in Residence since 1997 she has completed numerous residencies, murals, and permanent installations.

Theo's work is characterized by strong color and line. These two elements have remained constant through all her pieces. Her more recent works resemble a modern icon with Latin American and Byzantine influences.

Her murals are either commercial or the final products from her Residency programs. The Artist in Residency murals are compositions based on the children’s drawings completed during the art program she offers.

Other media she has explored are ceramics, mosaics, glass works, and furniture painting.
